In 1943, Renee Schick, the widow of a rabbi with small children to support, successfully shared her love of baking with the local community by opening Schick’s Bakery in Brooklyn. Rising at 3 a.m. to bake the most amazing desserts imaginable, Renee Schick soon created the most famous bakery in New York.
Over the past 75 years, we have expanded to include other brands and other baked goods, but Renee Schick’s passion for crafting indulgent baked goods has grown into the leading baker of babkas, cookies, cakes and breads sold at in-store bakeries across North America. Respecting the love with which Renee Schick baked each delicacy, we continue to use only small batch, handcrafted artisanal baking.
The highest level of kosher certification available and natural, dairy free ingredients attract passionate customers; innovative natural, gluten free and non-GMO baked goods engender gratified retail partners.
